Registration & Getting Started
How do I submit my resume to register with Hire Priority?

To register with Hire Priority, you can review the job board on our website and submit your resume
directly to a specific job that interests you. You may also submit your resume here to join our
talent pool and be considered for future openings that match your experience, availability, and what you
are looking for.

What is the cost of Hire Priority Staffing’s services to job seekers?

There is no cost to job seekers. We are paid by the companies where our employees are placed.

Do you have a general mailbox for resumes, or do I have to apply for a specific job?

If you’d like to be considered for employment but do not see a current job posting that matches your skills and experience, you may post your resume here

Can I come into the Hire Priority office to apply, or do I need an appointment?

Hire Priority does not conduct in-person interviews or accept walk-in applicants. To apply, please review the job board on our website and submit your resume directly to a position that interests you. You may also submit your resume here to join our talent pool and be considered for openings that match your experience and availability.

If your application is a potential match, a member of our team will contact you by phone or email with next steps.

Job Search Options
I’m looking for a full-time job. Can Hire Priority still help me?

Yes. We offer temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities, and many of our clients are looking for long-
term employees. In fact, about 75% of our clients are specifically interested in hiring full-time team
members.

Should I register with Hire Priority if I already have a full-time job but am looking to make a change?

We may not be the best fit if you are currently working full-time and would need to quit your job to
accept an assignment. Many of our opportunities are temporary or temp-to-hire, and while they can
lead to long-term employment, there is no guarantee that every assignment will work out.
Hire Priority is best suited to help candidates with flexible schedules who are interested in trying out
different opportunities to find the right long-term fit.

Does registering with Hire Priority obligate me to accept a job?

No. Registering with us does not commit you to any assignment or position. You are still free to search
and apply for jobs on your own. We simply serve as an additional resource in your job search.

Will I have control over the jobs I’m considered for?

Yes. You tell us what type of work you are looking for, and we reach out when we have roles that match
your preferences. If you are interested, we can move forward with an interview or working interview. If
you are not interested, there is no pressure.

What if I’m not sure staffing is a good fit for me?

That is completely understandable. Our goal is to explain how the process works so you can decide
whether it makes sense for your situation. We are not here to pressure you into registering.

Temporary & Flexible Work
What does temp-to-hire mean?

Temp-to-hire means you begin working onsite as a temporary employee, giving both you and the client
the opportunity to determine whether the role is the right long-term fit. The client can evaluate your
performance before making a hiring decision, and you also have the chance to evaluate the property,
the team, and the work environment. This period may last several weeks or, in some cases, several
months.

I want flexibility, but aren’t most temporary jobs entry level only?

No. This is a common misconception. Today, the choices available to professionals are almost unlimited. While it’s true that in the past, most supplemental jobs focused on administrative functions, today, companies are looking for specialists in a wide variety of positions.

I want to work on a temporary basis, but I don’t want to work 40 hours a week. Is there a position for me?

Yes. Employers today have needs that don’t necessarily require 40 hours a week. If you want to work a part-time supplemental schedule, we can help you find a position that suits you and your desire for flexibility.

If Hire Priority Staffing finds a temporary, temp-to-hire or full-time job for me, will I be charged a fee?

No. We never charge applicants a fee for our services. The cost of our service is covered by your new employer. Your initial career consultation is always complimentary as well.

Working on Assignment
When will I get paid?

Temporary Employees are paid weekly. Our work week runs Monday through Sunday, and payment is
issued on the Wednesday following the week worked.

How should I dress while on assignment?

Candidates are expected to report to assignments with a clean, professional appearance and to follow
the property’s dress code.

OFFICE POSITIONS:

For office positions, appropriate attire may include slacks, skirts or dresses, blazers or sports coats, button-down shirts or professional blouses, and closed-toe heels or flats.

Please avoid jeans, shorts, short skirts or dresses, revealing shirts, open-toe shoes, flip flops, or tennis shoes.

MAINTENANCE POSITIONS:
For maintenance positions, appropriate attire may include durable work slacks, dark jeans or cargo shorts, collared shirts or t-shirts, and work boots or tennis shoes.

Please avoid light-colored jeans, ripped or stained clothing, graphic shirts, shirts with wording, open-toe shoes, or flip flops.

ALL ASSIGNMENTS:
For all assignments, candidates should have neatly groomed hair, a clean and professional
appearance, minimal to no perfume or cologne, no wet or unbrushed hair, no unnatural hair colors, and
no visible tattoos or piercings.

A professional appearance helps create positive feedback from our
apartment communities and can lead to more opportunities with Hire Priority.

Once I’m registered, how do I submit my weekly availability?

If you are registered and not currently on assignment, you must submit your weekly availability to
remain active in our system.
Houston candidates can submit availability here: https://forms.gle/3UPVoocQTnXcB2vv5
Austin candidates can submit availability here: https://forms.gle/bGU8ZdfvTjaGZL9g7

Moving or Relocating
Can I secure a job through Hire Priority before I move?

Most of our opportunities are temporary or temp-to-hire, which usually require candidates to be
available to work onsite before a client makes a hiring decision. Because of that, we may not always be
the best fit if you need a confirmed job before relocating. However, you are welcome to reach out once
you are in the area.

Working with Hire Priority
Why should I work with a staffing agency?

A staffing agency can give you access to opportunities you may not find on your own. We work directly
with clients who are looking for qualified candidates and help match you with roles that fit your
experience, availability, and goals.

What is Hire Priority’s goal when working with candidates?

Our goal is to be open, honest, and transparent. We want every candidate to feel informed and
comfortable so they can make the decision that is best for them.
