MY STORY: Alberto Pico

Alberto learned about Hire Priority through a friend who personally knew our amazing staffing manager, Loa McManus. After hearing great things, he decided to contact Loa for help in finding a new job. Alberto already had some leasing experience and wanted to find a position that truly matched his personality. He also hoped to work at a community close to home.

While searching for the right fit, Alberto took on several temporary leasing positions around Austin. These experiences allowed him to explore different apartment communities and discover what type of environment suited him best. He says he enjoyed the chance to “try on” different communities while building new skills and connections.

Convenience was one of Alberto’s top priorities during his job hunt. One day, he was asked to fill in for a Leasing Agent who was out sick. He gladly accepted the opportunity and made a strong impression. The very next day, that same Leasing Agent submitted their two weeks’ notice.

After only one day of working with the team, the community already loved Alberto’s energy and professionalism. They immediately offered him the full-time position. It turned out to be exactly what he wanted—a leasing job close to home. His ability to speak three languages made him an even better fit for the community and its residents.

Today, Alberto enjoys going to work at a property he truly loves, just minutes from his home. He says he is very grateful for the opportunities that Hire Priority opened for him. Alberto describes the team as extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous—and credits them for helping him find the perfect place to grow his career.
